These programs concentrate on experiencing and communicating San Diego’s rich history from Native American Tribal Life to the Foundations of California through Spanish, Mexican and American periods, and the Victorian Era. Along with student oriented programs, public education and tours are provided through:

2) A Living Outdoor Museum Spanning Centuries of Development

Old Town San Diego is a living museum for anyone interested in California history. The Community is a unique one that blends State and County Park areas with a thriving community. This living museum provides both adult and youth visitors an unparalleled experience in the cultures, arts and everyday lives of the people who have called Old Town home.

ONE: Old Town Fiesta Cinco de Mayo Presence (Investment Starting at $5,000)

Amigo Level presence at our nation’s third largest celebration of Hispanic Arts & Culture (200,000 – 250,000) will be provided to companies that make at least a $5,000 investment in one or more Old Town Educational programs. Benefits available for review upon request.

TWO: Old Town San Diego History Take-Home Activity Guide ($7,500)

Educational Take Home Activity Guides (Reach: 15,000) designed to provide a take-home reference on a variety of topics for youth and adults alike. At this time, there are no take home materials provided through any of the Old Town educational program. Subject areas to include; Health, Nutrition, Diversity, Conflict Resolution, Math, History and various Social Studies topic areas.

THREE: Old Town “History Trail Blazer” Badges ($5,000)

Badges (15,000) will be designed, printed and provided for all youth participating in Old Town Historical Education Programs. These will replace current class made paper badges and provide security to students and teachers.

FOUR: “Discover Old Town” Newspaper in Education Program ($10,000)

A Series of Newspaper Based In-School Curricula will each provide up to 200 teachers and an average 10,000 students countywide with on-site reading and hands-on activities over an 8 week period in a the core topic areas of Health, Nutrition, Diversity, Conflict Resolution, Math, History and Social Studies. Actual cost per program $5,000 thanks to a partnership with the Union-Tribune.

FIVE: “Discover Old Town” Interactive Web Site ($20,000)

A new website to provide visitors with historical accounts through San Diego historical experts, students and residents, teacher/student resources and activities and sponsor driven information. The website will be promoted through Old Town State Historic and County Parks, City and County Schools, and may include:
